Co-Captains Keable and Joseph to Lead Mavericks

Hertfordshire Mavericks is delighted to announce the players’ leadership team for the 2017 Vitality Netball Superleague.

Lindsay Keable and Vicklyn Joseph will jointly lead the squad as Co-Captains and will be joined by Vice-Captain Rose Morgan-Smith.  All three of these players know what it takes to succeed in the black and purple of Mavericks and are ready to take this squad all the way to the Vitality Netball SuperLeague Final 2017.

With only two days to go until Mavericks opens its 2017 account with a home match against Team Northumbria, the co-captains had this to say:

Lindsay Keable:

“I am so thrilled to be co-captain with Vicklyn for Mavericks this season. We both bring years of experience and knowledge to the role. It’s such an exciting time to lead a fresh group of players in a very new and different looking Superleague.

“To also have Rose Morgan-Smith as our vice, is such an asset, not only in her talent and experience, but between the 3 of us we cover all positions on the court! It’s an exciting time to be a maverick and we are honoured to lead the squad in the 11th Superleague season.”

Vicklyn Joseph:

“With my return to Hertfordshire Mavericks this year it was a privilege and an honour when asked to be co-captain along side Lindsey.

“We have both worked really hard in motivating and helping to prepare the squad for the start of the season. And it’s finally here! The Mavericks family is ready and we aim to give the fans exactly what they want with entertaining matches and WINS!”

Head Coach Robyn Broughton had this to say about the season ahead:

“I’m excited about the squad we have this year and am confident we can do great things.  I think what excites me most is the fantastic balance of experienced players who know the highs and lows of top level netball, and the new younger players, eager to learn and to make their mark on the league. This group have quickly bonded and will be an undoubted force to be reckoned with.”

Mavericks have set out our stall and have every intention to take this team, our supporters and our sponsors all the way to the 2017 final.

Tickets for all home matches in the 2016 season are available from www.mavericksnetball.co.uk .
