Saracens Mavericks have announced the first five members of their squad for the 2020 Vitality Netball Superleague season.

Sasha Corbin returns for her ninth season with Saracens Mavericks and will captain the team for the third consecutive campaign, while 2018 Commonwealth Games gold medallist Kadeen Corbin is set to enter her fourth season at the club.

Tenacious defender Jo Trip is returning for her second season with Saracens Mavericks, having had a huge impact in their defensive end in her debut season.

With her rapid change of direction and touch of feed into the circle, Georgia Lees will be hoping to once again have a big impact in their attacking end.

After taking her opportunities to step up into the Vitality Netball Superleague squad last year, speedy centre court Beth Ecuyer-Dale is back for a third year.

Director of Netball Kat Ratnapala was delighted to secure the services of all five players for the upcoming season.

She said: “I’m thrilled to welcome back these outstanding players for the 2020 Vitality Netball Superleague season.

“Sasha, Kadeen and Jo have been instrumental in our campaign to get Saracens Mavericks back in the top three of the league and I am confident with a season under our belts we can continue where we left off last season and right some wrongs.

“Having worked with Beth and Georgia over a number of seasons, their capacity is huge and they are still at the start of their journeys, learning to step up at crucial times for us last year.

“The squad is shaping up to be really exciting with stability with some key players.”
