Player Bio
Loughborough Lightning’s Ella Clark will be hoping for a clean run during the 2025 NSL season after coming back from a serious knee-injury.
The attacker ruptured her ACL early in the 2022 Grand Final but made her return in 2024 – 622 days later.
The 33-year-old began her career back in 2009 with Hertfordshire Mavericks before moving to Loughborough in 2017.
Since being at the Midlands outfit, Clark has picked up two NSL titles as a player (2021 & 2024) and she will be looking to demonstrate her attacking talents that previously had her in the England squad.
Clark was part of the Vitality Roses team that won the Taini Jamison Trophy in 2021, their first-ever series in New Zealand.
If Loughborough are to complete what would be a historic ‘three-peat’, Clark’s accuracy under the post will no doubt play a big role.
She also has 40 caps for GB’s women’s basketball team with her father, Mark, previously the head coach of GB’s women’s team, and her brother, Daniel, also an international player.
During her time on the sidelines, Clark stayed at Lighnting as a coach and played a key role in the franchise's 2023 Super League title from the bench.
