Share Surrey Storm have welcomed Leah Goss back to the Sports Park Arena for the 2020 Vitality Netball Superleague season. The 20-year-old, who plays centre or wing defence, made her Vitality Netball Superleague debut in April having progressed through the Storm NPL side. In the same month, she was also part of the English Universities team which won the 2019 Home Nations tournament. “It’s a great franchise, one that I’ve been involved with since the age of 16, so to now be in the Vitality Netball Superleague team is a dream come true,” admitted Goss. “It was a privilege and an honour to wear the duck egg blue, and it does feel like home to me. “Last year was a big year for me, and it was great to be training, week in week out, with the calibre of player that we have, and to learn from the best of the best. I had the opportunity to take to the court for the first time, and it was something that I wanted to grab with both hands, and do my best, and hopefully that pays off.” “I’m really happy to see the improvements that Leah has made through our NPL programme,” said Director of Netball, Mikki Austin. “She impressed in the court time that she got, and we are looking to build upon that now. This will be a really big year for Leah to make her first real big push for selection in our Vitality Netball Superleague side.” You can watch Surrey Storm at the Season Opener 2020 – buy tickets now!
