Sarah MacPhail signs for Sirens

Defender Sarah MacPhail returns to Strathclyde Sirens for a second Vitality Netball Superleague (VNSL) season.

MacPhail has a wealth of experience having represented the Scottish Thistles in the Netball World Youth Cup 2017, captained the squad at Netball Europe 2018, competed at the Vitality Netball World Cup in 2019 and of course, being a part of the Strathclyde Sirens 2020 squad.

Sarah MacPhail said: “I really enjoyed pre-season last year and I’m honoured to be selected again. I can’t wait to get back out and play some netball.

“We’ve done really well as a team to have continued training via Zoom throughout lockdown and staying connected as much as possible. After building some great momentum last year we’re ready to carry this into the new season.”

This is Sirens’ 11th signing of the 2021 signing window. The announcement follows the news that captain Gia Abernethy, Zan Vimbela, Claire Maxwell, Niamh McCall, Taylor Cullen, Emily Nicholl, Lynsey Gallagher, Nicola McCleery, Bethan Goodwin, and Emma Barrie would all be returning.

Sirens have teams up with Adeo Group by their side they are sure to take their digital fan experience to the next level.
