We are only 2 Rounds into the 2016 Vitality Netball Superleague but already we have had two contenders for Game of the Season.

In Round 1, Team Bath and Surrey Storm served up a treat at Super Saturday, the following week it was Hertfordshire Mavericks and Loughborough Lightning who stole the headlines.

An incredible match saw the lead changes hand on several occasions and it was only a late surge that saw Mavericks finally see off their opponents.

A 49-44 victory saw the hosts keep up their perfect start to the campaign with captain Layla Guscoth winning Player of the Match. Read the official Hertfordshire Mavericks match report here.
