NIC Rhinos Netball strengthen midcourt with Indya Masser signing

NIC Leeds Rhinos Netball have signed mid-courter Indya Masser from Manchester Thunder for the 2026 Netball Super League season.
Starting her career at Saracens Mavericks, Masser, made her senior debut in 2024 and in 2025 was due to play for Birmingham Panthers NXT Gen side. She was given an opportunity to join Thunder in 2025 as a permanent replacement for Nat Metcalf after she announced her pregnancy. Masser made a big impression and made 12 appearances and helped Thunder to a Play-Off finish.
Masser started out in the Loughborough Lightning Pathway, before moving to Mavericks where she was named both Coaches’ and Supporters’ Player of the Season.
Alongside Netball, Masser works as a netball coach at Rugby School but has ambitions to become an art teacher.
Speaking about signing for the Rhinos, Masser said: “It’s really exciting. To be part of a franchise like Leeds, is something that I've always wanted. So, it’s a dream come true to be a part of Leeds Rhinos.
“Everything that Lauren's creating is amazing. The team is great, the long-term plan that Lauren's got is something that I really want to be a part of. I'm really looking forward to exploring more in that wing attack role and really solidifying myself.
“To feed someone like Joyce is going to be absolutely amazing, having a target shooter in there is every wing attacks dream.”
NIC Rhinos Netball head coach, Lauren Palmer, added:
“She’s a speedy, dynamic midcourter known for her pinpoint feeds and ability to run clever, effective lines. With a few seasons of NSL experience already under her belt, she brings both flair and finesse to our attacking end.
“Indya is eager to learn and develop, and I’m looking forward to working with her to elevate her game to the next level. She’s a fantastic addition to our squad and brings real energy to the group.”
