NIC Leeds Rhinos sign promising young midcourter Niamh Kilgallen

NIC Leeds Rhinos Netball have signed midcourter Niamh Kilgallen for the 2026 Netball Super League season.

The dynamic young player, who can play centre and wing attack, has risen through the ranks as an outstanding pathway talent with the Birmingham Panthers NXT Gen squad. Her performances have earned her selection into the Future Roses programme, as well as a spot in the training squad for the Netball World Youth Cup.

Speaking on signing for NIC Leeds Rhinos, Niamh said: “It's definitely a nice surprise it didn't really take any second guessing whether I was going to take the contract or not. With Lauren explaining to me her aims for not only this season but also in a few seasons time it was a no brainer.

“Leeds have always been a fierce competition to come up against in the pathway, their grit and determination when playing against them is something I've always admired and that’s something I want to be a part of.”

NIC Rhinos Netball Head Coach, Lauren Palmer, added: "Niamh is an exciting addition to our squad. She’s shown incredible promise through the pathway. Her work ethic, court vision and energy bring a real spark to the mid-court, and we’re looking forward to seeing her thrive at Super League level."
