Share Leeds Rhinos Netball have brought in experienced defender Leah Kennedy after a late registration was accepted due to exceptional circumstances. Kennedy will only be permitted to play for the Yorkshire outfit for the duration of those circumstances. In the opening few rounds of the 2021 season, Rhinos lost several players to injury such as vice-captain Fi Toner and goal shooter Donnell Wallam among others. Kennedy is an experienced defender who began her netball career with Hartlepool-based Oaksway and she then went on to played for Team Northumbria, making her debut aged 17 and going on to captain the side. The 28-year-old went on to play for Strathclyde Sirens before having time away from the professional game to focus on her coaching career.
