Niamh McCall is back with Strathclyde Sirens with the goal attack re-committing to the club for another two seasons.

Following on from her breakthrough season in 2021, long-bomb queen Niamh McCall has put pen to paper and returns to Sirens for the Vitality Netball Superleague (VNSL) 2022 and 2023 seasons.

McCall, who is in her fourth year at University of Strathclyde and studying Sports Design Engineering, knows exactly what it takes to get the job done and can’t wait to get back out on court with her teammates and push on from last season’s top six finish.

“I am very excited to be continuing my journey with Sirens. I felt my game developed a lot last season and as a team we showed everyone what we knew we were capable of. So I’m looking forward to seeing what the next season brings,” she said.

A proven performer at the top level, McCall secured Sirens’ Most Improved Player award at the end of last season voted by Strathclyde Sirens Head Coach Lesley MacDonald who added:

“Niamh is another exciting young shooter who really made her mark last season. She is a constant threat within the shooting circle with great court craft. After a tremendous breakthrough season, I am looking forward to seeing her development and challenge her next level,” said MacDonald.

McCall becomes Strathclyde Sirens’ sixth signing of the 2022 Signing Window after Towera Vinkhumbo, Emma Barrie, Taylor McKevitt, Gia Abernethy, Bethan Goodwin and Emily Nicholl. You can see the Sirens squad as it develops here.
