Jamaican defender Nicole Aiken Pinnock and Scottish Thistle Jo Pettit join the inaugural Sirens squad as replacements for Althea Byfield and Lynsey Gallagher, who have had to withdraw from the squad due to personal circumstances.

Nicole comes to the new Superleague Franchise with a wealth of experience having represented Jamaica at three World Cups and three Commonwealth Games, and was Captain when her country took home the bronze at both the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games and the 2015 Netball World Cup in Sydney.

A significant presence in the defensive line for Sirens, Nicole said “ I am very excited about being a part of this fantastic team with such great and talented ladies, and I can’t wait to get on court with them. As long as we stay strong we’ll do great things in netball this season”

Jo is an emerging talent within the Scottish Thistles team and has represented Scotland at the 2013 WYNC, Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games and the 2015 NWC.  “To be part of this new Franchise in Scotland is such a huge opportunity for me. I can’t wait to show everyone what we’re about and what we’re made of.”

Sirens Head Coach Gail Parata says: “This inaugural Sirens team brings together an incredibly talented, experienced and ambitious group of athletes and I’m excited to see the impact that we can make on this next season of the new look Vitality Netball Superleague.”
