One month to go until School Games!

There’s just one month to go until netball features at the national School Games Finals for the first time!

Ahead of a particularly exciting 18 months for the sport, with the Netball World Cup on home soil in the summer of 2019, netball is one of five new events.

Competition Format

The three-day competition will see 12 teams – all U15 squads – go head-to-head to be crowned inaugural champions.

Loughborough Lightning London Pulse
Manchester Thunder benecosMavericks
Netball Northern Ireland Netball Scotland
Severn Stars Surrey Storm
Team Bath Netball Team Northumbria
Wasps Netball Yorkshire

The competition will feature four stages, the first two will see four groups of three teams playing in single round robins and final positions will determine the groupings for the next stage of the competition.

Stage three will feature three groups of four teams, where groups one and two will be battling for standings to play in placing matches for positions 1-8, whilst group three will be competing for 9-12.

Stage four will be a final placing game for each team to determine the final positions for the competition.

That means a total of 48 games (1,536 minutes of netball) will be played at the 2018 School Games and there is likely to be in excess of 1,500 goals scored!

Download the Playing Schedule – please note that only the first stage of the competition is currently known, as the remaining sections are based on where teams finish.

Tickets

Tickets are now available for school groups and the general public – so don’t miss out on this thrilling weekend of sport at the University of Loughborough!

This year, the organisers are introducing ‘Team Up’ tickets. These tickets will allow ticket holders to spectate at Cricket, Hockey and Netball throughout the day.
