Strathclyde Sirens have announced their first signing of the Vitality Netball Superleague transfer window with Nicola McCleery returning to the club for her fourth consecutive year.

McCleery has a wealth of experience, most notably in her three years competing in the Vitality Netball Superleague, 2013 World Youth Championships, 2016-2019 Senior European Championships, 2018 Commonwealth Games, and the recent Vitality Netball World Cup.

Discussing her return, McCleery said: “I am super excited to re-sign with Strathclyde Sirens for my fourth season running and can’t wait to see how our new and refreshing team progresses this upcoming year.

“I’m most looking forward to getting back out in front of our home crowd at the Emirates Arena, delivering performances that we can be super proud of.

“Being a Siren for me is being part of a team that strives to be better and compete week in, week out against some of the best athletes in the world.2

Sirens finished ninth last season and with a new Head Coach, they will be looking to build on last year’s efforts.
