Share Yorkshire Jets are sad to announce that Vanes-Mari Du Toit is returning to South Africa following the death of her grandmother. The 26-year old learnt the news over the weekend and is now travelling back to her home country to be with her family and attend the funeral. With Jets final match being next Monday, Vanes will not be able to return in time for their remaining two games in the Vitality Netball Superleague. Jets Head Coach Anna Carter said: “Everyone at Yorkshire Jets would like to extend their deepest sympathy to Vanes and her family on this very sad news. “Vanes has been an important part of the Jets family this season – well liked, well respected and a leader on and off court. I know she is deeply disappointed not to be able to finish the season alongside her team mates, we will miss her and thank her for her contribution to Jets this year.” Related news post 5th May 2024 Round 12: Thunder strike down Lightning Reading: 5 mins Previous Story Keenan hoping for another win Next Story GB athletes enjoy VNSL experience More News 10 hours ago video Round 12 Highlights: Severn Stars vs Cardiff Dragons 10 hours ago video Round 12 Highlights: Loughborough Lightning vs Manchester Thunder 5th May 2024 News Round 12: Thunder strike down Lightning Reading: 5 mins 2nd May 2024 News How Niamh Cooper learned to embrace her body Reading: 4 mins 2nd May 2024 News Where to Watch: Round 12 Reading: 6 mins More Google Ad – MPU – Right Column
