Share Surrey Storm are thrilled to announce the signing of former Team Bath and Hertfordshire Mavericks player Scarlett Williams. Scarlett is a versatile player who can play in either a wing defence or goal defence position. She has endured a number of significant injuries during her playing days, but she’s now back to full fitness and will be looking to import her experience and skill onto the team. Alongside being a player Scarlett has shown an interest in coaching having been part of the Millfields School netball coaching team, meaning she could be an important member of the club’s community coaching programme. Upon signing for the Storm, Scarlett said “It’s amazing to be a part of the Storm Squad this season. There are a few of new faces in the team including mine but the environment is already cultivating some great new partnerships, and with opportunities being out there to take, I look forward to the time we reveal what this new squad has to offer on court. “Alongside that, Storm supporters are renowned for being the best out there which makes the first home game and fixtures like Netball London Live even more exciting!” Scarlett’s signing leaves just two spaces left in Storm’s 2017 Vitality Netball Superleague squad, with these spots being filled in the coming weeks. Don’t forget that tickets will go on general sale next Monday (21st) at 7pm! Get the date in your diary as we expect tickets to sell faster than ever this season!
