(Photo by Charlie Crowhurst/Getty Images for England Netball) Gabby Marshall, George Fisher and Razia Quashie have all committed to Saracens Mavericks for the upcoming Vitality Netball Superleague season. All three players are part of the Vitality Roses full-time programme in 2019/20 and are currently on tour in Australia and New Zealand. Sharp shooter Fisher and mid-courter Marshall are both returning to the club for a third season, while 2020 will be defender Quashie’s fourth with Saracens Mavericks. Discussing the re-signings, Director of Netball Kat Ratnapala said: “I’m so pleased to see these three young Vitality Roses in Saracens Mavericks dresses again this season. “All of them are exciting prospects for our international game and for our season ahead.” Fisher, Marshall and Quashie join Sasha Corbin, who will once again captain the team, Kadeen Corbin, Jo Trip, Georgia Lees and Beth Ecuyer-Dale in Saracens Mavericks colours in 2020. And Ratnapala stressed how it was crucial for her to maintain the core foundation of her 2019 squad. She said: “It was really important for me to secure our starting players from last year to push ahead with the 2020 Vitality Netball Superleague season. “With just two more signings to announce, that starting seven is going to have competition across the court, which is an exciting prospect for the forthcoming season.” You can watch Saracens Mavericks at the Season Opener 2020 – buy tickets now!
